FHS Daily Announcements

Discipline Update

During the first semester, the largest reason for students receiving discipline was for their tardies to first period classes.  Therefore, first period teachers will be shutting classroom doors at 7:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and at 8:00 on Wednesdays. If a student is late to first period class, that student should report directly to the high school offices.  There, students will check in with their attendance secretary, who will give them a pass and document their tardy.  Once they have the pass, they will then report to their first period class.  All tardy discipline for the first period will now be issued by the office.  Students will receive a warning the first time.  Students will receive a warning and parents will be contacted the second time.  Students will receive a lunch detention the third time.  And students will receive a Wednesday school for the fourth time.  Wednesday school is from 2:45 to 4:45 in the ISAP room.

New security procedure

Findlay HS and Millstream CC are excited to announce a pilot program for changes to our visitor management system. Over the course of the next two months visitor entry to the buildings will look slightly different at the three entry points as we will be utilizing Raptor Technologies visitor management system. This system is utilized in over 52,000 schools globally as they are a trusted partner in the school safety space. During our pilot, security at each facility will be screening, monitoring, and tracking visitor entry. Visitors should be prepared to share identification, provide information for their visit, and have a visitor badge printed that identifies them during their time in the facility. Thank you for your time and patience as we work to elevate new security features.
